  • Advising Neo North Star Resources Inc., developing the Sarfartoq rare earth project in Greenland, on its proposed merger with Greenland Mines Limited, a NASDAQ-listed company.
  • Advising JSW Steel on its USD120 million investment in the M Resources / GEAR consortium (IMC) that acquired the Illawarra Coal assets from South32 (and USD60 million follow on investment), comprising complex multi-layered joint venture structuring and establishment of JSW’s life of mine offtake.
  • Advising Nippon Streel Trading Corporation on its joint venture with Energreen Australia to develop a large-scale commercial plantation near Emerald, Queensland, of Pongamia trees for biofuel production.
  • Advising BASF on its proposed nickel HPAL plant joint venture with Eramet in Indonesia and mineral supply agreement for nickel laterite ore, and PCAM offtake agreement for the product to be produced from the HPAL Plant.
  • Advising Marubeni on its co-investment with J-POWER in Glencore’s CTSCo Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) Project in Queensland.
  • Advising Australian Future Energy on its Gladstone Energy and Ammonia Project.
  • Advising Marubeni on the competitive sale of its interest in the Coppabella Moorvale Joint Venture to Winchester Coal Resources.
  • Advising Marubeni on its acquisition of an additional participating interest in the Hail Creek Joint Venture, in connection with Glencore's AUD1.7 billion acquisition of Rio Tinto's interest in the Hail Creek Joint Venture and other coal assets.
  • Advising Batchfire Resources Pty Ltd on its acquisition of the Callide Coal Mine from Anglo American and related fundraising. Ongoing advice to Batchfire Resources regarding its logistical arrangements, statutory compliance, corporate governance and further fundraisings.
