About

Danielle Igbokwe focuses her practice on large-scale business and commercial litigation matters. In Danielle's first year of practice, she has represented clients in a variety of high-stakes federal, state, and arbitration proceedings. She helps clients navigate matters involving breach of contract, insurance recovery, and employment defense. She also defends clients against large-scale civil liability, including product liability and consumer class actions.

Danielle's experience includes legal research and drafting for motions practice and discovery, managing complex electronically stored information (ESI) discovery and document reviews, and conducting fact investigation in preparation for deposition and trial testimony. Danielle is admitted in Washington state and the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington.

Danielle earned her J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law, where she honed her courtroom skills through national trial and moot court competitions — earning finalist awards — and served as Executive Online Editor of the Washington Law Review. She was inducted into the Order of Barristers for her trial advocacy skills.

EXPERIENCE

Danielle's experience involves counseling clients through each stage of litigation, including fact investigation, discovery, motions practice, mediation, and trial. Her experiences include:

  • Representing three clients against cases asserting Washington Consumer Electronic Mail Act and Consumer Protection Act violations
  • Representing a technology company against allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and related Washington-state employment laws, including a settlement for less than nuisance value
  • Conducting sensitive workplace investigations on allegations of discrimination, retaliation, and unethical conduct
  • Representing clients in employment-related cases in state and federal court involving allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and related Washington-state employment laws
  • Representing manufacturers and retailers in product‑liability related cases before state and federal courts
  • Representing manufacturers and retailers in class action cases before state and federal courts
  • Representing clients in landlord‑tenant and premises‑liability (slip‑and‑fall) cases before state courts
  • Representing clients in commercial contract and insurance coverage disputes before Washington state courts

IMMIGRATION

  • Represented citizens of Afghanistan, Honduras, and Uganda in applications for asylum, and subsequent Adjustment of Status applications. Won favorable outcomes in numerous agency proceedings and administrative trials
  • Volunteering with ABA ProBAR's “Last Line of Defense” program to conduct intakes for nine detained individuals in South Texas

Pro Bono

Danielle focuses her pro bono activities on a range of matters. She has assisted with the immigration clinic at the University of Washington, the Northwest Justice Project, the Innocence Project, among others. In her zeal for pro bono work, she has helped clients get both reasonable accommodations and asylum.
