EXPERIENCE

  • Acted for H&M in signing a long-term PPA with R.Power, to provide 50 GWh of clean electricity annually from solar assets in Poland to match consumption from H&M's operations in Poland.
  • Advised Autoliv, an automotive industry supplier on their entry into two 12-year virtual power purchase agreements (VPPAs) with two renewable electricity producers, Alight and Eurowind Energy. The transaction enables the construction of new clean energy generation (solar and wind) in Finland and Romania.
  • Acted for Unilever as corporate offtaker on their hybrid, baseload, renewable PPA  with Statkraft in Poland. The 10-year agreement will provide for approximately 26 GWh of renewable electricity generation (wind and solar) per year, in connection with the electricity consumption of Unilever's factories in Poland.
  • Supporting Sustainability Roundtable on their aggregated procurement of four (VPPAs) through its Net Zero Consortium for Buyers (NZCB).  Joshua was part of the team advising the four NZCB offtakers. This transaction procures 30 MW of renewable energy from Catania Solartrack - a new 50 MW combined agriculture and solar power generation project in Sicily, developed by Aquila Clean Energy EMEA. The offtakers leveraging their combined buying power for this purchase and their 10-year VPPAs secured 5 MW, 5 MW, 7 MW and 13 MW of clean energy respectively.
  • Acted for Global Switch on the structuring of a Spanish renewable sleeved PPA in connection with the energy use of a data centre and the data centre's tenants, working closely with DLA Piper colleagues in Spain.
