Michael Strapp is a trial lawyer who handles high-stakes intellectual property disputes with an emphasis on patent litigation. His practice spans a range of different technologies but includes a focus on cases involving computer software and electronics.

Michael has consistently been recognized as a leading patent litigator. Chambers and Partners describes Michael as an ''excellent'' litigator whose "attention to underlying technology impresses clients," and Patexia named Michael one of the best-performing patent litigators in the United States.

Michael has nearly 25 years of experience litigating patent, trade secret, trademark and copyright cases before federal and state trial and appellate courts, including in all key jurisdictions throughout the country. Over his career, Michael's patent practice has included more than 120 cases in U.S. District Courts and the International Trade Commission. Michael has served as first-chair counsel in cases in California, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Nevada, Texas, Utah, and Virginia, and argued before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. 

In addition to litigation, Michael serves as a key business partner to a wide range of companies, including start-ups and large enterprises. Michael counsels clients on all manner of IP-related topics, including obtaining, protecting and enforcing intellectual property rights.
